Chapter Six, the first chapter of part two is now posted for Book Two of "The Rim Country" series (https://www.wattpad.com/myworks/414294694-the-rim-country-book-two-the-war-1887).
          One of the more seasoned cattlemen in the valley has disappeared, throwing the valley into turmoil.  Each side of the feud blames the other.  The new (soon-to-be-famous) sheriff of Apache County organizes a search party and nothing is found--something even worse than the disappearance itself.

          This closes out the building of the psychological setting of the book with the neutral, "the place between", people recognizing that something bad is coming and they are themselves under threat.

          A young cowboy is found dead in a wash after a grazing land skirmish.  Pastor Rodgers recognizes that burial services will become a growing part of his work and that his role in "the place between" the warring parties will grow more difficult.

Third chapter is now posted on Book Two of "The Rim Country".  This chapter mentions a famous "wild-west" sheriff who will play a big role later and also references a more famous Apache warrior, who won't play much of a role.

Two chapters have been posted and edited on Book Two of "The Rim Country". Hello to whoever is out there listening! :)
          Just wanted to let the folks who read "The Rim Country: Book One" know that I have published Chapter One of "The Rim Country: Book Two, 'The War' (1887)". 
          
          This book will take place during the most violent and exciting year of the entire Pleasant Valley War.  
          
          If you're on the fence about westerns, give me a chance and take a look at the first published part where I describe my motivation and what the reader will get out of this novel!

Check out my poll about which cover art you like best.  I created some overlays that make the arrival in the valley look like morning and evening (the original is "mid-day").  It's in my "From the Author" part of "The Rim Country"

I’ll be posting the last chapter of “The Rim Country” Book One today.  Plans for this book is for my imprint to publish it in paperback format first and then I will work with small bookstores around Arizona who are looking for Arizona history fiction.
          At some point I will pull most of it off Wattpad and then start posting Book Two.

Part Three of "The Rim Country" is complete.  I'm going to take a moment and touch up my outline for parts 4 and 5 based on whatever my characters did to surprise me in the first 3 parts!
