History has always attracted me.  The frustrating part of history is why things were done when they were done, and what  motivated the people to do them.  When writing I like to explore these reasons, to try to find what made them do what they did the way they did it.
I don't want to go into alternative histories, if this happened, then what else might have sprung from that.  I want to present my thoughts on what drove these characters to do what they did.
