First off, the US does not have time to relocate a small group to go to a nearby village to just “ask for help” since they are fighting and NEED every man they can to fight back against the enemy right now. Which are entrenched in bunkers and if not dealt with WILL disrupt their supplies. And even if they went to the village it might be under occupation by enemy forces, OR under propaganda. Because this is not the saderan empire and is the seraphic empire which has shown itself multiple times that it is better than the seraphic empire. Because propaganda has already been spread prior to the gate invasion and even now. Since they think we would kill them, the obviously self preservative villages would not easily listen to us, and wouldn’t provide assistance, hell they might even fight back.
I never said they were mindless, don’t know where you got that from. Since everything I said before would make them sound smart, and not barbarians who would charge into the enemies. But carrot and stick won’t work when you don’t know the local currency, value, economy or anything. Who knows if gold is worth the same as dirt in this world, because there version of “gold” is a magical material that only exists due to fantasy settings?
The US could always set boundaries to prevent Middle East, but that doesn’t mean that they will work, propaganda and culture and religion makes that hard. Sure you can minimise how many towns won’t follow you/attack you, but that doesn’t mean they will stay there and do nothing.
