His mother passed away when he was born, and as a result, he was despised by his older siblings. Eventually, his siblings were exiled from the realm caught learning magic. His father was executed for treason. This is where his independence started, and how he became a shut-in. He has no strength or confidence; at 18, he is drafted to serve in the "Physical realm."
**The main character (MC) had difficulty fitting into the Physicalist culture because of his physical weakness and short stature. This led to mockery and deepened his resentment. His elven heritage made him a target as elves were associated with magic, which was despised in the Physical Empire.** (this is from my notes lol)
