50k reads on my Wax Wings reaction. Are we ready for the cringey long ass bs speech?
No, doesn’t matter!
Here we go…
My “reaction” rabbit-hole started with @Reactionist1’s WHDAAA as almost everyone does. From there I fell in love with the idea of a cast of characters who don’t know the behind the scenes of the story finding out all about it, and the various emotions they exhibit.
With that, my thirst for other such master pieces continued and a few came across my way, but that re:zero reaction content quickly dried up.
It was last year, where I re-found COTE, having not watched it since season 3 dropped way back. I found a few fan fics online and became hooked on the series again.
I thought that Ayanokoji would make a great character to react to and wondered if anyone would make reacts of him as well…
Lo and behold! There was many many such fics out there. It took me while to consume them all, and I can confidently say I’ve read most COTE react fics out there, past that I moved to YouTube Gatcha react videos and have all but finished them too!
And so, began the great drought, a period so dry I genuinely had no idea what to do in my spare time. And from that, an idea crossed my mind to write a react fic of my own. Keep in mind, I had tried writing my current Fairy tail fic about 4 years back and it completely flopped, so I was under the impression that I wasn’t cut out for this writing business.
But, with nothing better to do, I took a shot in the dark and just let my hands go and write whatever. I was initially going to do a Canon react fic or continuation of ‘Kiyopon can’t communicate.’ But around this time, I discovered the goat @EasyQueays’s wax wings. And boi, what a story.
Something about its depth and careful consideration just spoke out to me and I decided it would be the one. I asked Queasy for permission of course and he let me know someone else had also done a react fic to it.
