Welp, bad news to anyone who likes my recordings- I'm looking at taking them ALL down, permanently. 
          	The legal ramifications of using AI are just too many. I can write a book, make a recording, pay an artist- and I can even use AI to make covers as long as something isn't published. But a recording where the only genuine thing is my writing... that's murky and I should probably stop.

Big updates to drop! Well, mythos drops for loyal fans. 
          Lightning Chasers is going ot follow many of the same beats as Globe Tracers but huge changes are on the way. The mythos is looking to be far more robust this time- I see it as Globe Tracers had to walk so the Chasers could run!
          
          The pharaohs, a race created in Ancient Egypt, ventured into space to develop apart from humanity. They returned to Earth for conquest, then calling themselves the nation of Osiris. They named the mountain they landed on Olympus, which was a derivative of Osiris for them. Their nobility, the Neter, then became the Olympians, ie, the Greek gods.
          The Neter were defeated by the Titans, a faction among the Hema commoners, which freed the ancient Greeks and led to the current order.
          Pharaoh homeworld= Pyre
          Nation- The Concord of Prometheus
          Citizens of the Concord- Promeethees
          The Concord is a union of Polities taken from the ancient Greek name for city-states. The first of the polities of the Concord were named after the Titans of Greek myth,  Oceanus, Coeus, Crius, Hyperion, Iapetus,  Theia, Rhea, Themis, Mnemosyne, Phoebe, Tethys, Atlas, Helios, Leto, and the capital Cronus. The territories taken from their enemies are called Zau, Per-Wadjet, and Lunu, named after ancient Egyptian cities by the original nation of the Pharaohs. 
          Polities are divided into Demoi, the singular of which is Demos, taken from one of the ancient Greek terms for a kind of city.
          A solar bomb attack on Hestia, which is a demos in Theia, drove Kyle and Jessica from Pyre. Fifteen thousand people were killed in an instant, with over ten thousand more dying from injuries. Now, the Concord conflicts with the battle-obsessed Aesir, who are given to terrorism, because it evokes continuous war without resolution.

            The sword of society is tempered in the flames of innovation. Black represents the common pharaoh, silver represents the refining flames of technology and innovation, electric blue represents the electric spirit of the people, and white represents a new and ever-renewed nation. 
            The sword symbolizes the military uprising that founded the country, and the flames are the flames of Prometheus. In ancient Greece, Prometheus was often regarded as the father of technology. (Hafestus is important, but Prometheus stole fire from the heavens and gave it to man, bringing man out of darkness.)

Okay so, big news- one, I am horrible at hitting this update page, even when I update on time just fine!
          
          Okay, but after that, what's coming up? Something I don't think anyone is expecting. Tracers is getting rebooted. For fans of the original series, it's staying up, but all six original will be redone and from there everything will be in the Globe Tracers reboot universe or-
          Lightning Chasers!
          Many changes will take effect, like the aging process will be sped up to only 1/4th that of normal humans, the mysteries of Jessica's origins will be apparent but still unsolved from book one (I didn't actually know myself about Raven when writing book one so nothing about her ever came up). Kyle and Jessica have school work, but instead of watching them study (which they will mostly do off screen, of course, cause that's boring), the kids will reference their textbooks during adventures, especially Jessica, because she's undereducated as a result of her rough upbringing as an apprentice bounty hunter. Many of the plot points will be the same or similar, but will be made to match a younger audience. I don't aim to talk down to kids, but relate to them. 
          This will likely delay the Nameless but- well I'm afraid it has to be done. Something about a contradiction between how the characters in Globe Tracers age and how they act has always felt just a little off to me. I could excuse it, but it didn't flow.
          
          I hope this all sounds like it will be fun. As I'm so close, I'm going to finish posting the 1st original novel to YouTube and Rumble, but expect the revamps to be coming soon.

@Torkuda A compromise could be to just swap to one very accurate photo of each character whenever they talk- instead of using a bunch of versions of the same character in different settings.

          And book 1 is being updated in written form anyway- no major changes, just that Kyle and Jess age every 4 years instead of 20.

So to all my followers that are familiar with Tracers, a retcon may be on its way that will possibly change the feel of the series, but not the meat and potatoes. 
          Everyone, please tell me what you think of this:
          What if Pharaohs aged every 4 years instead of 20? This would give them a sense of aging far slower than normal people and keep with the idea of a high-tech society, but two things would change. Their powers would be more significant to their inventions, and their characters would feel more age-appropriate to what we read in the series. For instance, in book one, Kyle would be 20 and Jessica would be 28- if you take off about 6 years for baby/toddlerhood, you have Kyle being about 14 years old mentally and Jessica being about 22. I feel like this aligns very closely with the way they behave in the series- as though they are older than they appear but still young enough to be immature. 
          
          So, two things- do you thing the Tracers/their people, aging at 1/4 the rate of normal humans would make the characters feel more relatable and inline?
          Do you think I need to re-record corresponding parts of book 1, or does it seem like this changes so little about book one I can just put it as a retcon for the rest of the series?

@Frozefas As to the technology, I think it should remain relatively stable. Dr. Floreen already explained in book 5 how their tech isn't really a matter of time, but their electrokinetic powers. They don't have to develop the back end of their inventions, making them virtual technomancers from birth.

@Torkuda Interesting that Jess' faith will be more prominent earlier on- that should help with foreshadowing the themes of the later books though. And huh- curious as to what the changes to book 6 will be if they aren't related to the timeline stuff, can't really think of anything that felt off except for extremely minor things that were subjective.
            
            And yeah- makes sense for just focusing on the written version for now.
            
            Also- nice that the next book should be out this year!! The wait isn't as rough as last time thankfully due to how satisfying and long book 6 was, but I'm not sure how long that patience will last so I'm glad that we may get something this year lol. Good luck with writing! (Both tracers and EMT's, I see you have a fair amount of followers for EMT's on RR which is cool).
