Hi there! I am Toyah, an Audhd former care-leaver. I have created a series called stories from the system, which aims to give different fictional accounts based on real stories/events of how people end up in care, of different placements they may find themselves in- no story is the same, just like in real life.

My first story is Cassidy's story, the tale of a 14-year-old autistic girl who has to find her place in the world, whilst navigating devastating scenarios, such as the loss of her Mum and her Dad's illness.

I am creating this series in the hopes to shed a light on past and present issues within our social realm, within the care system, to deplete irrational judgement about people who have difficult upbringings and disabilities, especially (but not limited to) those who end up in the care system, in the UK.
