Oh my! This chapter has created a lot of mixed emotions. Let me try and clear a few things up:
Luca’s issue with Charlie isn’t about violence as such, it’s that she can’t control it, she completely lost control of herself. If you look back on the ‘clubhouse’ chapter, she even turned the shard of glass on Lucy and Luca had to pull her back.
You’re right that Luca would be a total hypocrite to be pissed with her violence, considering he’s an Enforcer for the club, but he sees that as being completely different. Bare in mind at one point Luca was dragged into the basement and beaten, so he’s completely against them turning their aggression on each other.
With regards to Butcher having a word with her, what was he supposed to do? Pat her on the back and tell her it’s ok that she smashed HIS ESTABLISHMENT to pieces? He’s making it clear he doesn’t want involved in their issues, but he’s not going to stand back and let anyone trash his club.
You’d also be right in the suggestions that Stone will not agree with Luca when he finds out what he has said.
Another question to ask yourself, if little Hope was in the club at the time, would she still have done this? With someone who has lost control to this extreme, I’m sure we can all agree, she would have.
I’m sorry if I haven’t portrayed this chapter as well as it could have been. I just wanted to clarify that Luca’s issue is the extremes she went to and that she had completely lost control.
I hope this helps you understand where he’s coming from a bit more.
Much love, Tracey ❤️
