Hello everyone!
As I’ve been revisiting my stories, one in particular really stood out to me: "Lincoln in Equestria." This project has been a labor of love, but after reflecting on it, I feel it's time to share some of my thoughts and plans moving forward.
First and foremost, I want to be honest about my feelings regarding the current direction of the story. I realize that I didn’t portray Lincoln in the best light, especially in his interactions with Sunset. Instead of fostering a connection, I unintentionally made him come across as unlikable, which detracted from the overall experience. I want readers to root for him and understand his journey, so this is something I’m eager to rectify.
Additionally, I introduced Death as a side antagonist after being inspired by *Puss in Boots: The Last Wish*. While I appreciate the concept, I recognize that I could have developed this character and his motivations more thoughtfully. His role felt a bit forced, and I want to create a more cohesive narrative that integrates all characters seamlessly.
Another aspect I’ve reconsidered is Discord. I attempted to give him a more serious demeanor, stepping away from his usual playful antics. However, I realize now that his quirky, chaotic nature is an essential part of who he is. I also neglected to explore his backstory—how he came to adopt Lincoln as a baby and the circumstances surrounding that decision. This backstory could add so much depth to their relationship and enrich the overall narrative.
Moreover, I want to delve into Sunset's past more deeply. Her struggles with being kicked out by Celestia due to her cutie mark and her rebellious nature are pivotal elements that deserve more attention. Understanding her background can help readers empathize with her character and see her growth throughout the story.
With all of this in mind, I’ve decided to embark on a reboot of "Lincoln in Equestria."
