Just spilling my thoughts out here. Basically, I think my "romance" period with Ice Cold Heart has ended and, looking back on the past few chapters, I feel incredibly critical about it--especially with my shift in style on the DwD fic that I personally find significantly better.
Rereading back on my document's prior chapters to write the next one made me cringe a bit honestly. The way I see it, I could've done significantly better. I could see the ideas I had at the time of writing the overall outline to the chapter specific outline, but the execution was not what I expected now that my rose-tinted glasses are off.
While not exclusive to illustrators, I've heard of artists' taste developing faster than their talent, which ends up in insecurity and anxiety on what they've released, ending up on them "hating" their own creations.
I might just be overreacting, but if you've read all the way through my little panic, I'd like to hear your thoughts:
I'm considering going back on the last few chapters and reworking them instead of moving the lore forward. Should I do that or just move forward?
