@TravisChessie1990 I do indeed see a version of this developing on the right side of the aisle. And they do frame it as Christianity, while it is not.
            However, I still can't understand why any point presented from a more left-leaning view, must always include the racial differences. While there is some sway here, I would not connect the movement of the southern slave-owners with the movement of the psuedo-Christian nationalists. I think that's a mistake.
            Not every atrocity in human history is a racial one. And speaking as someone who sees this movement every day from that side of the aisle, it's not too racially-motivated yet. It's almost entirely traditions vs. non-traditions based.
            If the Left stopped assuming everyone on the Right was racist, I firmly believe the Right would stop moving toward modern racism.
