Today, my brother and I fought. Afterwards, I was crying in my closet when he came to apologize.
He couldn’t find me, so he yelled an apology then, without my knowledge, left me a note taped to an Easter egg. Inside the egg, he had put a single, white tic tac.
Anyways, his note said, “I’m sorry. I would leave a bigger apology, but I’m on a budget. Please accept this egg.”
After I found it, I went to apologize to him too and gave him a hug.
We’re good now, but that apology is hilarious to me.

Do I believe in everyday miracles? Yeah. I do. Why?

Picture a girl. She pushes down her own negative emotions to reassure others. She’s supportive and considerate, but she’s terrified of coming off as rude. She’s pretty, but she sees flaws in everything about her. She’s always smiling, silently contemplating her own death.
Her best friend of seven years constantly makes her feel like a second choice and they have nothing in common. Her self-esteem has tanked, and she refuses to even recognize positive things about herself, worried she’ll seem arrogant.
Then, one day, she’s sketching in her notebook at church. Then, another girl walks over. They strike up a conversation and discover how much they have in common. A few weeks pass, they hangout almost every weekend. Their families get along. They’re great friends.
And both of them know they are not alone.

That’s why I believe in everyday miracles. Because my best friend was my miracle. God knew what I needed and he sent me a friend who wants to be around me as much as I want to be around her.

I don’t know if the last thing I posted was announced, so I’m re-typing it here. To those of you with brothers & sisters: What are you favorite little customs with your siblings? I'll start:

With my brothers: Knocking a rhythm on the walls to say goodnight, "What are big sisters for?" "Brothers.", snuggling on the couch, singing together, cookie decorating, nicknames (Baby, buddy, big guy, little man, Ethelred, Puddingpie, Bootypants, Squeaker, Mooka-booka, E)

With my sisters: Surprise hug attacks, parallel play, tickle fights, puns, conversations that make my brain hurt, nicknames (Girlie, Sweetie, Cutiepie, Meg, Megs, Lou-la, Emmalem, Lemma, Lemma-Lou, Lemmers)

@LookingTowardsTheSun That’s actually pretty cute. Sometimes my sister and I jokingly do that.

@TreeDweller06 well my sister and I had a weird way to express that we love each other hehe , we keep insulting and saying bad things abt the other all time ,I know it may sound the opposite of what I want to express but , we fight to see who’s the one that’s able to pick on the other on the most complicated way … I mean it’s funny for both of us tbh and we do it jokingly (yeah adults think we’ve fallen out for each other but meh ,it’s just our way to have fun with each other) of course sometimes it gets too far and ends up being serious ,but normally adults get tired of us before we can even get tired of it lmao … (and also we like to steal things from each other bedroom just to grab their attention lmao ,we don’t do it that sneaky since it has no fun if the other doesn’t notice it hehe) oh and also playing hide n seek and trying to scare the other away

I’ve been meaning to, especially with the new book being released soon, but I have a lot on my plate. Maybe I’ll get around to it?
