So in conclusion, I am going to continue writing as I am. I don’t think my stories are overly smexual. I will keep writing and posting and if the powers that be chose to take it away, so be it. I cross post on AO3 so everything I’ve written is there too.

Here’s my stance on smut and this new update: I personally write smut, I’ve always stated that in my stories. I enjoy reading stories that have it, I also enjoy reading stories that don’t. I understand some people love writing it, and some people don’t. But that was always the beauty of wattpad, you could chose what you read and there was no judgement. 
          As someone who has written smut, not every time has some great plot advancement. Sometimes it is because a couple want to do it. To put these restrictions will have a domino effect of harm. First, it is going to create a portal of judgement. ‘Oh she only writes it for the pleasure, she must be *insert any slt shaming insults here*’ because it will draw negative attention and give the people the right to report it. 
          Second, it is the beginning stages of censorship. It starts like this, where you can write it if ‘it advances the story’ (which what does that even mean tbh) and then it will become no smut. Stories are already being removed that FOLLOW the guidelines. 
          This is Wattpad. This is a FANFIC site. Fanfics have the inherent stereotype of exploring sêxuality. Most of us were teens once discovering it for the first time, and in some cases (like me growing up in an overly religious household) made me feel like I belonged. 
          Not that anyone asked, but those are my thought.

@anakurucic that’s literally what I’ve been saying … smut can not just be for pleasures sake, it had to contribute to the story. But this is wattpad, a forum that built itself on its ability to have whatever kind of stories you want. And who’s to decide when something like that is subjective?

@-quinlans i agree with you,l literally just read whats allowed and whats not.I understood it as its not allowed that the whole story is just smut,like a story without plot ,just smut .
