Icarus has fallen

The screams we're drowned by the roaring sea
For Icarus just wanted to be free
But now he drowns in the sea
Melted wax stung his skin
As he falls into within
For he committed a horrible sin
The Sun betrayed with its fatal rays
Down the void he became
Free at last with unbearable pain
So he wailed and waited
Fear in his golden eyes
As he looked at the sky's
"Why?" he cried
For everyone was unfathomed by his pain
Everything they did was for there own gain
Icarus sighed and closed his eyes
No longer wanting to face his demise
He refused to fathom the spring sky's
His wings now taken
A horrible pain now overtaken
Although above the bluebirds sang
Down below, with his last breath Icarus swayed.
