It's been a while.
Troy with an E is at 8k (wow thank you). I'm not crazy into youtuber's now, but I'll always love Troye and Tyler (I'm still always on YouTube but I don't usually watch vlogs now, I think I've grown out of it.)
I've had a really positive experience using wattpad and it's been so uplifting seeing people leave feedback and nice comments on my shitty fanfiction . I believe I'm a better writer now and I'm not really going to be venturing into fanfiction much more. Except for some cases, fanfiction tends to be an easy way to start writing as the plot-line can be very easy to come up with. Writing purely made up books can be more difficult as it requires you to create an interesting storyline with good characters and a plot (what mine was lacking).
I used to read any troyler fanfictions, whether they were written well or not. I know I would never take my time to read a book that I didn't enjoy/wasn't written well unless it potentially interested me and I think that can be said for everyone else unless it's fanfiction. Fanfiction can be more about the community or the characters rather than creating a masterpiece so it is generally easier to get popular writing that genre.
What I'm really trying to say is that as I become more serious about writing, I don't see much I could personally benefit from when it comes to fanfiction. I don't currently have any thing I want to write fanfiction about either so I'm in the process of creating a new wattpad account if anyone is interested. (Still trying to think of usernameqqz ideas).
I'd like to start writing again by trying some writing competitions first so if anyone knows of any, please let me know. I don't think I'm ready to commit to writing a completely original/ unprompted novel at the moment.
If you read this far congratulations! I didn't expect anyone to be that interested in what I've got to say.
