Does anyone else ever read fanfics they shouldn't have read at the age they did but did so anyway? I mostly tried to stay away from certain fics I knew I wasn't going to either enjoy, or they were too inappropriate for me, but there have been times where curiosity won and even though I didn't even enjoy the fic I still read it through.

@TryinToEscapeReality YES AND WHEN IT GOT BAD I STILL CONTINUED TvT this was before I decided to make an account, and I was about 10 and idk why tf I was on Wattpad, but anyway, at that time I was trying to stay away from mature stories bc I didn't want smut and all that crap (I like smut now don't judge/ask ;-;) but there was this one sn fanfic that looked good although it was mature, but I started reading it anyway (I forgot the name) now I won't go into detail but SASUKE HARASSED NARUTO IN- IN WAYS- AND ITACHI SENT FUCKING SEX TOYS AND WNFNSKFBKEDB IT WAS SO BAD BUT IT WAS A GOOD STORY TvT and there are many more stories I should not have read then (and probably still now)

@UwUMrsUzumaki exactly I also read a manga where the girl was like 14 and the dude was 17-18. It was set in the early 20th century where relationships like these were normal but that doesn't mean it's not a turn off

@TryinToEscapeReality I haven’t read fanfics in awhile, but there was this manuwah that didn’t specify their ages until a chapter and I was SHOOK one was a minor and the other was a grown adult, it ruined my entire reading experience, so I stopped reading
