Tuesday Grace is my pen name.  As a child, my favourite book was “The Little White Horse” by the esteemed English novelist, Elizabeth Goudge.  I read and re-read it until my first copy was falling apart.  Eventually I just had to tell the author how much I loved her book, and I also shared with her my own love of writing.  To my delight she wrote back, both encouraging me to carry on and cautioning me that story-writing is “very hard work.”

Forewarned then, but I kept writing - fiction for my own pleasure, commercial wordsmithing for PR consultancy clients.  Seeing my articles in the media has always given me a kick, but I’ve never put my fiction out there.  Not until now.  

The Elephant in the Room is my first full-length novel.  I’m planning to review it (again) chapter by chapter, so I’m only putting it out one chapter at a time.  A trusted bunch of friends has previewed the finished work and encouraged me to circulate it more widely, but I’m summoning up a different kind of courage now, to set it in front of people I don’t know.  

Obviously I’d be honoured if you’d take the time to let me have your honest feedback.  Elizabeth Goudge’s advice has inspired me to persevere, and I’ve enjoyed the journey so far.  I hope you enjoy reading my work.  Thank you.
