Like one could easily write a short story about, for example, a scenario where post the events of Stangled Red, Steven goes on an adventure and eventually, in his anger and grief, finds someone just as much in emotional torture as he (Glitchy Red). From there, you put reactions. Hostility, then sympathy, and eventually understanding. They might not heal everything from their grief or hatred, but they can move forward now that they found someone else who shows them “it’s ok to be broken” and “you aren’t alone”.
