My name is Mobbing Chickadee. I am a 19-year old genderfluid Twin Spirit from the Eastern Metis Nation, root nation Abenaki. I use they/them or he/him pronouns. I am pansexual, polyamorous, and trans. I live in the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Territory on Turtle Island (Ontario, Canada).
Though I will soon be attending school for Therapy for Native Youth At Risk, I am a hobby writer, poet, and illustrator. I also have a small textile business where I stream on Twitch and tell stories. My store isn't up and running yet, but you can check out my textile work here: @turkey.tales on Instagram.
I am interested in Indigenous issues and history, including all Tribal peoples who have existed or persist today, like the Celtics of the rest of my heritage. My novel Swan Feathers and Pills covers these topics, as well as my poetry book Add A Mistake.
A relic of interest that persists from my school days is the history of queer Prussian king Frederick The Great. I have a few stories about him and his lovers, and am planning a fun little alternate universe where his first partner wasn't killed and is able to take position when he becomes King. His story speaks to me. If you see that and are confused finding it alongside my other work, don't worry- I'd be extremely confused, too.
