@WhatamIdoing2001 Of course! I'm not 100% sure how it works in Sweden but i'm pretty sure it's the same as in my country since the culture is really similar. 
            So the year when a child turns 15 they can go to a religious camp thing... Not sure what it is in english. It's not really religious anymore it's just the tradition. And confirmation is just that you've been on that camp and you now are a part of the church and can be a godparent. 
            The cross is just a symbol that usually  the godparents give to their godchild after confirmation. It's just a tradition to get one. There's not really an obligation to wear it but people usually wear it for some time and then take it off just like a regular necklace.
