I understand your concern with Ephemeral's plot. But here’s the thing: Jungkook was deeply hurt too. Imagine someone you love pushing you away, saying painful things, and breaking you piece by piece... even if they didn’t mean it, the wound still stays. Similarly Y/N did not mean to say those things but she still did right? Please look at it from Jungkook's POV aswell
Jungkook didn’t ignore Y/N because he stopped loving her. He ignored her because he thought he loved too much and was protecting himself from more pain. He did read her messages, every single one of them but healing takes time.
This wasn’t a one-sided hurt, both of them were broken, both of them needed to heal. And that’s exactly why their eventual forgiveness matters so much ✨
Also, about Y/N’s parents. I totally understand why it may seem like they were blaming her, but it’s a bit more layered than that.
They weren’t picking sides or ignoring her pain. They know Y/N overthinks, they know she’s insecure and that’s exactly why they wanted her to talk to Jungkook. Not to blame her or say she was the only one at fault, but because they saw her shutting down and assuming the worst without even trying to talk things out.
As parents, they explained things to her. They didn’t just say “go apologize” like she was the only one wrong. They simply wanted her to stop running away from the situation and actually communicate with Jungkook. Because they care.
Even if insecurities were the root cause, that doesn't erase the fact that painful things were said. And the first step to healing anything is talking. That’s all her parents wanted for her, a chance to talk before jumping to conclusions.
If I were a parent and I saw my child making a decision based on fear and assumptions, I’d do the same, gently push them to talk, not to blame them, but to help them find clarity.
So thank you for feeling so much for these character it means the story matters to you, and that’s all me as a writer ever hopes for!
