**UNFORGIVABLY RUINED NEW CHAPTER ALERT!**
.
He growled at my quick moves, mumbling as he rolled his eyes. “Maybe I am getting old.”
.
Quietly chuckling, I cautiously stepped into the house. I eyed up the arrow and crossbow once again before ducking under the string. Looking back at my driver, I arched a brow. “Coming?”
.
Shaking his head he sighed, taking a step forward. “You know why I like being your driver, Siobhan?”
.
“Because I’m cute and pleasant to talk to?” I looked back at him before taking another step forward, eyeing up the staircase in front of me.
.
“Because you don’t usually put me in danger. I like staying alive.” He eyed up around us, taking in the arrow and crossbow as well. “But it does help that you’re cute and pleasant.”
.
“Ah, I figured that was the underlying point.” I winked at him, quietly laughing. My laugh hitched in my throat as I took in someone tied to a chair in the kitchen. I glanced back at Andrew to see if he saw it too. Once his gaze followed mine, I pulled my gun in front of me, stepping toward the room.
.
Brown eyes met mine, wide and half-crazed. Tape was over his mouth, his hands tied behind the chair with his ankles tied to the legs. I recognized the dark, curly hair.
.
“Uh, boss.” Andrew’s hesitant voice had me spinning around.
.
I kept my gun up high as I peered around my driver and at the gun pointing at his head. Swallowing, I tried to keep my fluctuating heartbeat from pounding out of my chest. I couldn’t see who was holding the gun yet. “I promised I’d keep him alive. Don’t make me a liar.”
