UAStorytellers

Hello everyone!

Sorry for the delay on the October edition of the magazine. We were just too excited about OC-Tober, and who can blame us for that? We had an awesome time! Read about it in the magazine!

UAStorytellers

Hello everyone! Due to Wattpad's upcoming removal of the direct messaging feature, we will be changing how we send invite links to the server.

A new requirement for the application to the U.A. Storytellers is that you comment your Discord ID. That way we can send you an invite link directly if we accept your application. And for your safety, you may later remove that comment. Additionally, know that the invite will ONLY come from abitgrim, foxypuff18, or tocoloco004. Please don't click on unknown links.

If you have already applied to join the UA Storytellers, please go into our resume book and add a comment with your Discord ID so we can reach you.

UAStorytellers

Congratulations @a1readygone for winning our 2024 icon contest!! We will feature your Aizawa icon both here and on our Discord server for the rest of the year!

And thank you to @IdyllicSoul who created the 2023 icon! We appreciate your work and hope to see more of your icons in the future!

When working on a group project, it's not easy to make everyone happy.

We at UA Storytellers know that there is not a single piece of work on our page that is published without creators permission. However, to ask that consent be taken back after months of work goes into a project, to ask that stories finalized years ago be unpublished, edited, and revised with no questions asked is unreasonable and unfair to the writers who commit to a story.

We are deeply disappointed to see that Dancing With Disaster be taken down after someone feels that we infringed on their rights. Absolutely none of the content was used without specific, written permission from every last author. We hold ourselves to a high enough standard to appreciate every single creator who worked so hard to make such a story possible.

These authors did nothing wrong. I am so proud to have worked with such talented people. These authors deserve more recognition for the work they put into creating a story together and committing to the story they made as a team.

Junie Weathers, Shelby Dobbins, Toco Loco, Foxy Puff, Juni Penguin, Sunjin

Please show some love to these creators. These authors worked for months to create a book we were all so excited to share. It is devastating to be one of the authors that wrote this book and see this happen to something we worked so hard on, something we have so many memories attached to. My heart goes out to every single author above and we hope to return with more crossovers and more stories to be published on our page.

This is far from a setback. This is, if anything, more motivation to continue to do what we love despite the people who disagree with our beliefs. We are family at the UA Storytellers, and we will look out for one another no matter what happens. Thank you all so much for the memories when it comes to creating crossovers.

Sometimes, I don’t think people understand and appreciate the amount of hard work that goes into creating a story, especially a crossover one. There were countless hours the writers had to plan, draft, write, and edit their chapters, ensuring that all the OCs were included and in character. Then there are the artists that created beautiful pictures, banners, and the cover for this story. Artwork is a talent and a gift, but I also know behind all of it is hours of dedication. To pull a book down because someone claimed it wasn’t our original work, that it wasn’t something that many of us worked hard on, is disheartening. I want to give a huge round of applause and a big hug to those who worked hard on this particular crossover. They worked so hard, and I hope we can republish or something to show that what they accomplished wasn’t for nothing. Thank you guys for working hard. One day, we will overcome this obstacle.

@UAStorytellers I am so disheartened that this has happened, but I have seen such support and compassion for us that I know our republished story will continue to see the love we got originally. Thank you to everyone who wrote this fantastic crossover with me and thank you to everyone who has been supporting us

Time for a broader question: What's your favorite fanfic that follows (or operates in) the original MHA storyline?

What is a fanfic you think portrayed the Sports Festival Arc the best?

FoxyPuff

@JunieWeathers awww thank you, Junie!! I honestly love how you and Shelby and Grim tackle the SF as well. Every single one of you guys has something unique and special to bring to the table, and it's very clear in this arc

I’d have to say Kita’s Legacy and Muted Voices did a wonderful job with the Sports Festival. I loved how Shelby created her own spin on it, making it her own, and while Foxy’s Sports Festival is the same as the anime, she took some creative liberties with it all while keeping it all canon. It was very nice to see.

Would your OC ever participate in the Sports Festival?

@UAStorytellers Asuko has a quirk that ressembles to Present Mic's but it's like x10 more powerful. It's called 'Voices of the Mountain'. Asuko is by nature very energetic and loves to fight. She's likely to get creative with her quirk as well so that's why she might win. She got lots of power despite her small physique!

Aki doesn't have a quirk per say. He was born quirkless but was chosen as a one of the vessels for his family's cursed weapons. It gives him the power to summon chains and control them. Because it requires a lot of physical strength (and Aki's dream is to go to the Nationals for volleyball). He trained his body from a very young age and has a lot of combat experience since Aki comes from a long lineage of exorcists.

Both are from General Course btw.

@Dazzling-Finch OOH radiation! That sounds like an awesome quirk! It would be cool to see a 1v1 fight with that in the mix

@blaziken01trainer What are their quirks? How would they use them in the competition?
