When working on a group project, it's not easy to make everyone happy.
We at UA Storytellers know that there is not a single piece of work on our page that is published without creators permission. However, to ask that consent be taken back after months of work goes into a project, to ask that stories finalized years ago be unpublished, edited, and revised with no questions asked is unreasonable and unfair to the writers who commit to a story.
We are deeply disappointed to see that Dancing With Disaster be taken down after someone feels that we infringed on their rights. Absolutely none of the content was used without specific, written permission from every last author. We hold ourselves to a high enough standard to appreciate every single creator who worked so hard to make such a story possible.
These authors did nothing wrong. I am so proud to have worked with such talented people. These authors deserve more recognition for the work they put into creating a story together and committing to the story they made as a team.
Junie Weathers, Shelby Dobbins, Toco Loco, Foxy Puff, Juni Penguin, Sunjin
Please show some love to these creators. These authors worked for months to create a book we were all so excited to share. It is devastating to be one of the authors that wrote this book and see this happen to something we worked so hard on, something we have so many memories attached to. My heart goes out to every single author above and we hope to return with more crossovers and more stories to be published on our page.
This is far from a setback. This is, if anything, more motivation to continue to do what we love despite the people who disagree with our beliefs. We are family at the UA Storytellers, and we will look out for one another no matter what happens. Thank you all so much for the memories when it comes to creating crossovers.
