Why Undercover Lottery Winner?
I am a retired Police Officer.  While most of my time was spent in patrol, I did work some plain clothes or undercover assignments. Some of my assignments were intriguing, interesting,  dangerous and made for an exciting career. 
I've  had dealings over the years with celebrities and I realized fame carried a price.  I liked the idea of being wealthy but not of being famous.  With fame you had the down side of being recognized everywhere you went and having people stop you, bother you, watch your every move, stalk you and endanger your safety and the safety of friends and family.  For security reasons I have decided to remain anonymous.  

Prior to winning the lottery, I hadn't been keeping a diary or journal, since winning, I have been writing and documenting this exciting chapter of my life.  
None of my family, friends, former coworkers or acquaintances know I won the lottery and I intend to keep it that way for as long as I possibly can.  I am hoping to remain anonymous and keeping all this secret for as long as I can.    

Surprisingly, I resisted the urge to tell anyone that I had become a multi-millionaire overnight. This was somewhat easy to do since I had gotten divorced and my kids are  grown and are on their own.   I know if I was still married with children at home, there would be little or no chance of me being able to keep a lid on this and remain anonymous.    

 I had heard horror stories of what some lottery winners had gone through after winning and I was intent on not making the same mistakes.
