I know this is such a basic question but I'm quite bored (the pile of assignments staring back at me*)
So what's your favorite genre and the reason for it to be your favourite?
dreamcatcher0105
@Uditasree an absolute serious slice-of-life work that has some little minuscule romance/chemistry (makes perfect sense to plot, not there because it has to be but it just makes more sense). also, the most minor background pair in a full blown romance with other main leads, sub leads, sub sub leads. also, a well written memoir. yeah, so many more. something about why I end up liking something from the fringes all the time when there’s the whole book to like in the first place. and so much to be said about them but so little said gives me more room to obsess and think about what ifs without writers ruining things for me… I know these are not exactly genres, bacha. but still ;)

Is it just me whose brain automatically plays music when the scene I'm reading or writing is lit or does it happen with you all too?
Uditasree
@vritiwrites XXD glad I'm not alone. Exactly that's what I mean it elevates the scene so much more and is hard to explain in words.

@Uditasree no, you’re definitely not alone. i’m literally checking grammatical errors in my new short rom-com right now, and trust me, my brain has already picked the perfect song for every scene. sometimes the music in my head makes the scene feel ten times more alive, like i’m watching the whole thing play out instead of just reading or writing it. honestly, i think it makes the writing process so much more fun because the right song can completely change the mood, bring out emotions, and even help you understand your characters better. so yes, my brain is basically its own little soundtrack department too.

Would you rather be a writer or reader?
Me: um... don't we need to read either way?

@katiegoesmew agreed. XXD just a hypothetical question, you know this reminds of those videos that go "imagine you're at xyz situation" and the comments would be – the first thing I would do is to stop imagining XD

@Uditasree Absolutely! Writers need to read. It helps them become better writers, and honestly, we clearly love books, so why would we stop reading when we start writing? XD

What's your pet peeve while reading physical books?
For me it's trying to hold and balance it with my thumb while multitask and do my daily routine. Because I can't commit the horror of folding it. And having glasses ain't helping ( ̄▽ ̄)
