Is there a way to officially end a book? Can someone tell me how?

I want to try writing a one shot Lance X Reader Christmas one shot thing. Probably in an AU where they're normal teenagers or something. I wouldn't go into details about the AU though since it's only for a one shot. For those who might see this, should I go for it?

I just finished my first fanfiction. Wow.

I know most of my readers won't see this but I'll leave it here anyway. So something pretty serious happened to me and I probably won't be able to post a chapter for a while.
