If you ever redo remnant revolution, you could make it so some nanites were sent through a portal that was meant to act like recycle bin on a laptop but they got transported to remnant.
            Some survived in capsules but badly damaged, with different people getting exposed to them for better or worse. 
           And maybe have jaune leave beacon after jaundice on his own terms rather than reveal transcripts since he has seen he ain't getting the help he thought he'd get from the teachers to train since he lacks the basics and they're teaching the next step and ozpin was probably waiting for the kid to get desperate to he could get a qrow for this generation which is sick ( canon glynda had a better mindset to lead beacon but oz always stopped her).
           He could either keep in contact with at least not after confessing to the false transcript. Whether team double standards ( rwby) see him in a neutral or chaotic is irrelevant to him since he wasn't that close to him, he was crushing on the idea of was because he thought he was complimenting him on the first day until he later found out he mistook sarcasm for the real thing and ruby's advice to him about how leaders operate sounded too idealistically suicidal on a second listen ( and after watching volume 9 we can see where that road leads). 
           Jaune could then sign up for an adventurer guild on ren's insistence so they can join up now and then on higher ranked missions when he reaches those ranks and explains how both orphans had to reach c rank which allows you to get transcripts based on your service up to that point to apply for an in invite to the intiation of any of the academies (which explains how they got in and afforded their gear). 
          One thing the kills alot of jaune centric stories is that they turn emo and op at a drop of a hat. You could let him train and go through trial and error to learn to use his stuff and go through trial and error to communicate with his nanites through his idea of a status menu. 
            Just an idea.

Update:
          
          So I bring some bad news... my PC's HDD crashed tonight.
          
          Context: in the middle of editing a paid commission for a Master Duel video, my mouse and keyboard abruptly stopped working anymore despite being fresh replacements and were plugged into my PC.
          
          I unplugged and replugged them back in. No dice.
          
          I was told to clean the mouse and keyboard; so I did, as well as cleaning the exterior of the CPU. As for the interior, I wiped away the parts of the CPU that didn't have any hardware on it to get the dust off.
          
          Upon replugging everything back in and booting up the PC; I get this message:
          
          "Reboot and Select Boot device
          or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key"
          
          Fortunately my younger sister has a rather tech-savvy boyfriend who not only was the reason how I managed to get the graphics card and ram that I needed for cheap (with warranties to boot), but he is also able to help with repairs on the PC.
          
          The problem? IDK when he'd be coming as he's in another state away in the Philippines and although the repair costs were handled with for the most part - what I dread is the cost of hardware for the HDD.
          
          Fortunately my client who paid for the Master Duel video he commissioned me to edit was very understanding of my plight, so chances are I'll be able to get back on track once the repairs are done.
          
          Problem being: if I can't resalvage the HDD files - I'm gonna have to get the cracked stuff for my Premiere Pro AGAIN. And I know I can get the stuff for my edits back like greenscreens, sfx, etc - but it's gonna be a p a i n.

Updates:
          
          Progress is slowly inching along, I'm not dead. Don't worry, fellas. Ya boi ain't giving up on his works anytime soon.
          
          That said, I've been commissioned by a fella that @444TheNumber4 sent over my way. So my attention is divided in two things: my fanfics, and my video editing gigs.
          
          Mans gotta get some form of bread one way or the other - especially since I cannot do most jobs out of house.

Due to ongoing struggles with the transition on my Patreon's billing from Creation to Subscription, I have created a possible second door to my supporters to be able to give their support: I have made a Ko-Fi account!
