STFU i just realized something. so we all know how in season 1 of haikyuu, kageyama gives hinata his first toss (in a game) at the 3-on-3. but i realized that when hinata yells kageyama's name and kageyama gets the flashback, he's not just tossing to hinata because he's there when no one else was before (as the flashback is meant to signify), he's tossing to hinata because he doesn't want to let hinata down the same way he was. he knows that crushing feeling of not being trusted, even hated because of your abilities, and he would've given anything for his teammates to trust him again after they abandoned him at that middle school game. so while kageyama is technicallyjust using hinata because he's already in the air, he's actually projecting his own hurt onto the situation and resolving that he never wants hinata to feel that same weight because of him. which is also an attempt to amend for his past attitude because hinata *has* felt that way because of him. not necessarily the abandonment (kageyama and hinata were never teammates to begin with), but that same mistrust. now as a kagehina shipper i *may* be reading too much into this but what can i say? my english teachers have always taught me to read between the lines so...
