Hello! My name is Marshall Hemmer. I am a 24 year old living in Mansfield, Missouri. I was originally born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, but raised in Standish. I spent a majority of my life not enjoying reading or writing until a motorcycle accident had changed my mind. I was 17 back then and had to drop out of track and cross country. Instead I took up art and writing club, where I found my love for writing poetry. I typically write in a dark fashion, so please pay attention to any trigger warnings in my creations. I am a freestyle poet who does not follow typical poetry orders, and my goal is to write a poetry book and perhaps reach out to someone who has been in my shoes before and needs someone to love them. I have been actively writing poetry for the last 3 years now, and do not plan on stopping anytime soon. You might also find a horror story or two on here because I am a huge horror story fan. Some of my favorite horror comes from the likes of FNAF, Eli Roth, Quentin Tarantino, and Wes Craven. Some favorite writers are Emily Rodda, Rick Riordan, and those one shot poets you find on Facebook meme groups. My music taste correlates with my writing and I typically am emo and punk, but have a lean towards metal when the mood strikes me. I would love to meet each and everyone of you that views my collection, and would greatly appreciate any criticism given to me. I'm hoping that with what I do, I can one day get my book on shelves and see my name in stores. However, the money isn't what I care for. What I care for is making an impact emotionally and mentally in a positive manner with people who need positivity or someone to relate to. While my life hasn't been the worst, and many have it worse than I, I still feel that my various traumas and losses I've acquired in this life are plentiful. You will see that in some of my works.
