So, when I got home from work yesterday, I started typing up the chapter before staring at it because something seemed wrong. After consulting the book, then the chapter, then the book again, I realized...it was the wrong POV. 
          
          So, that Christmas update...it'll be tonight, for sure, perhaps later than intended, buuuut possibly more than one chapter because I wrote the next chapter before the current one. My bad. My brain said Iliana only, apparently.  We currently need romantic angst, according to it, not fantasy adventure. 
          
          I'm pretty sure the book is supposed to be both. Oops. 

I only had one vote on what to update first, so I'm working on a Mermaid Tear update.  I've got a few pages done--but given I've only got notebooks at work and my tremor doesn't agree with that, it'll probably be out either late tonight or early tomorrow! Sorry it's been so long, life sorta got away from me. 
          
          On the bright side, I have a whole lot of ideas for the series, although some of them involve working on my rewrite of earlier scenes. No worries, tho, I won't be pausing Mermaid Tear to do that. Hope you're looking forward to the return of things!

I think the first new chapter release will be a Christmas gift to you guys. Any preference on which project it should be? 

I have read your first mermaid book and now i am almost to the end of your mermaid tear. It's amazing but also disappointing that it's ongoing. And you Haven't updated it since 2023.. I so want to see updates please! I love your writing. I hope you can find the time and inspiration to continue this series  please!

Official update: I've decided while I don't have internet (another life meltdown happened post last message) to fix my issue of feeling overwhelmed by my projects and I'm going to reread everything and write a bank of updates for my main projects so that once I do i have back up for all of them and aim to start updating again on new years.

Hey everyone! 
          
          So, I think I may have jinx'd myself a few months ago when I posted about getting back into things. Following that I had several things go down, starting with a family member in the hospital and ending with my own health issues. 
          
          I'm going to try to get back into writing, but I don't think it'll be possible until after I've finished the blood testing the doctor's are likely going to do, seeing as my skin currently doesn't really like touching things and my fingers ache if I type for too long, to put it mildly.  Once they've figured out what is going on, I should be free to take the steroids they've given me, but until then I get to wait and see what autoimmune disorder my body has decided to conjure up since the steroids would interfere with some of the bloodwork. 
          
          Sorry again for the wait!

Do you know when you will be updating Mermaid Tear and Heartless?

I bet none of you would anticipate that I'm watching A Little Mermaid to relax on my 28th  birthday. ;)

@UnboundWings awe I'm sorry. Real life sucks balls sometimes. I'm glad to hear it's getting better. Taking care of yourself first is what matters most. 

So, after a long time of consideration, I've come to the decision that given the extended period of time since I last worked on the series, how complicated the series was, and how much my writing has changed and how much the plot and world building has changed since I started, I think I'm going to work on a rewrite for Siren Song in order to get myself back into writing. 
          
          This isn't to say that I won't work on Mermaid Tear, because once I'm back in the swing of things I will, but I will probably be posting more for the rewrite than I will for the current work. Still, even a lil bit is more than I *have* been writing, so....baby steps? 
          
          Just because of how many changes I intend to make, the rewrite is going to be posted in a different collection. I'll put a tag on it stating that it's the 2024 version of the book!  <3 Thanks. Look forward to it coming out sometime in the next month.
