When gods like Poseidon rose to power, the sea was divided, named, and claimed.
Thalassa was not overthrown—she was forgotten, her influence receding into depths too ancient and quiet to conquer.
Since then:
Sailors who vanish without a trace are said to have entered her tide . Sunken civilizations whisper her name in silence . Lost souls drift where only she can hear them
She became not ruler, but memory.
