Short Story:
While they are not exactly my taste I see the point you make to add on about real life problems that are happening in the moment. I think what are you writing is something that is needed, but with that they are somewhat neutral.
I believe that if you were to write about them in gender point of views it would create a sense of personality, I suppose, to each of your stories.
Poems:
My are you a force to be reckoned with. They are witty and true, but you, you, knew how to be honest and flew with subjects that many find fearing and are unable to face.
I liked them because they cause you to think about things in another light. Different from the regular common average way to look at things.
Honestly they're lovely!
