You still alive?

UnknownG11

@CynOfAbsoluteFabric Yep! Still alive, just been busy with university assignments and sorting my finances to pay for tuition. Most of my assignments now are completely business oriented, rather than Gen Ed which at least had some easier courses, had a really chill history professor. Uni's been soaking up most of my time as I am focusing on keeping up my GPA, one of the crucial factors to maintaining my financial aid.

You heard about the recent stuff with Digital Circus?

@UnknownG11 I also like to think that the worst thing Jax did was make someone Abstract. Also yeah, I even bought a Kinger figurine from the store.

@UnknownG11 They also got Netflix streaming rights.

I really hope you show the MD cast at least the pilot of TADC. I can imagine it being introduced as a "neighboring universe"

@DigiWarrior The third episode? Yep, heard about it and saw it. Blew me away at how amazing it was. Really liked how it fleshed out Kinger. King's probably my most favorite TADC character. When he's got a sane mind in the darkness, he really gives off that grandpa/wise uncle feeling. I realized how it was foreshadowed with him comforting Ragatha in EP2 when he was wearing a bucket. Kind of sad to learn he's like this from when he lost his wife.

Pretty cool to learn more about the circus goers each episode. And seeing Caine get gradually more unhinged when he was talking to Zooble. EP3 was quite a journey to see. Can't wait to see the next one! I honestly want to learn more about Jax. Was he always a jerk? Or did he become a jerk as a sort of coping mechanism? But with what Goose hinted at Jax being unforgivable, makes me wonder if he did some sociopathic stuff as a human being? Or as others say he was an AI made to be a jerk in the first place? Oh yeah, also heard some cafe opened in Japan with a TADC theme, quite a surprise.

Murder Drones episode 8 came out

UnknownG11

@PhantomEnderman Yep, a season 2 would be nice to have given the amount of unresolved questions. I'm still curious about the origins and actual goals of the solver. Is CYN and the Solver separate or the same? Was CYN's goals different? But I agree, the show was something special, one of the best shows I ever watched. Fit a niche I never knew I needed.

@UnknownG11 I’m kinda still hoping we get a season 2 but even if we don’t we at least had a great ride and Murder Drones will forever have a special place in my heart right next to Minecraft

I am still alive! Had my surgery last month and settled some things. It was an agonizing first few days afterwards. I've pretty much recovered now. As for plans, the react fic's update wasn't made on the date I wanted... as per usual lol.

In the meantime I saw some breakdown analysis of the episodes in the meantime on places like YouTube, Reddit, or fanfiction comments. I realize that, oh crap, this is OOC! Not going to rewrite for the time being, focusing on getting it done first, rewrite later. Been thinking about EP4, looking at the events, going over community analysis posts, trying to find out what the proper reactions would be given its chaotic portrayal of the characters. The comedic/shock moments kill the momentum at times, but I guess my humor's kind of degraded.

I've got a solid idea now of what to write, as I want to avoid any further pitfalls given how so much of Murder Drones has subtle details, but re-watching the show in its entirety had me notice the pacing issue. How V became friends with Lizzy, Doll made a deal with "Tessa", Uzi mastering the solver powers off-screen. I get it's probably her "Genes/Code" as Nori was pretty adept if the picture was meant to imply that.

Some episodes felt a bit slow paced like EP2, then you have EP4 which felt confusing in it's portrayal of worker drones. EP5 has me, wondering how much was the truth. Some write it off as a fabrication of AbsoluteSolver, a fake memory where there is no CYN it's just a diversion the solver created to mislead us. Some say it's a corrupted memory played like a VR game, interacting with the memories.

We know the Galla Massacre happened, we know Earth went boom, but the exact how it happened is still unknown. Did CYN really do as she did? Did N really get tied up outside? N had a memory of CYN with human hand in her mouth. Did he live initially? Was he never chained up outside during the real incident? Questions that sadly might never be answered in canon.

So, update. I'm likely to be largely taking a break from writing. It's been a busy month, still have to sort out some things and fix my sleep schedule. Been getting less and less sleep, which is going to be detrimental if I can't sort that out. Got to a point I can't even focus writing my own stories, my mind's too tired to even write anything solid.

I decided to say it now, I'm going on break, better to say it now than just vanish for the next (hopefully few) months. I'll probably resume writing in the summer. Got a rather busy year ahead of me. Especially as spring ends, the time of enrollment and filing out what's necessary to get my diploma. I have to get that settled before doing anything else. Can't fumble the ball when I'm this close to the goal.

I'm ever grateful for all the support and understanding I've been receiving, you've all inspired me tremendously. Hopefully I'll some new chapters done in the summer. For now, I'm going to have to shelve writing until I get my biggest obstacles out of the way.

@MonoMurder234 It's alright, I understand sick days on a personal level 100%. I'm grateful for your help beta-ing my work. It's surprising to hear you consider me a friend, and it doesn't cause me discomfort. I'm glad helping me out with my drafts helped you expand your skills, as your advice has similarly helped my own skills. I'm not sure if I'd be able to live up to the definition of a friend though. As we've only spoken about the drafts of my stories and my general inactivity on the internet for long periods while I work on my story drafts in my spare time.

I'm not likely to be active all the time like a good amount of the authors and frequent readers on the internet. I'm often occupied with college/university work and have plenty to keep myself busy during most of the days of the week. It's why my upload schedule is very inconsistent. I feel I'm not quite what some would consider a friend. Given my general inactivity and more workplace relationship I've been trying to maintain with folks given my general lack of consistency in maintaining contact.

I'm happy to consider you a friend, I just feel I'm not as active as most friends on the internet often are. My life's always filled with work in some capacity. With my free time's divided among multiple hobbies. You've voluntarily helped me beta my stories, and I am grateful for your continued help in that.

You'll have to forgive me for being inactive. I'm not always available so I understand when people have to take a break for health reasons or otherwise. We're all human, we all have our chores, jobs, and whatnot to do in our lives. Sometimes we get sick because stuff happens, be it spoiled food, badly cooked food, or allergic reactions. I understand the need to rest. No use overworking to the point of no return for something that doesn't matter much in the grand scheme of things, if you can wait, best to wait rather than rush. Unless it's an emergency of some sort.
