Upon first listen to The Life Of A Showgirl I gotta say I'm...conflicted. Maybe I'll love it more if I sit with it for a while? Don't get me wrong, there were definitely some songs I liked. The fate of ophelia was an instant love for me, but the album is just...I don't know missing something for me? The songwriting is also not really clicking for me. But again, maybe I'll love it more upon relistening.

( @Lady_Ataraxia  ) The vibes are definitely fun, I just wish the lyrics would have matched that. She has more silly and fun songs on lover too, like paper rings and london boy but at least the lyrics of those two songs are still on her level. If that makes sense? I just missed that same storytelling here

@Unlock-Your-Mind it felt like she kind of just went and did a silly project to kick back after Eras Tour to me. Like being a very serious person I started being silly and more laid back when I found my person and that's the vibe I was getting from Showgirl. It's not as good as TTPD, but it's still fun (except for the very end of the title piece.... That made me cry and I did not appreciate it)
