I've kind of fallen out of Cookie Run Kingdom. Maybe someday I'll get back to old fics, but I wouldn't hold your breath about it. For personal reasons, I very well may never get back to Until the Bitter End. I apologize if you're here for Until the Bitter End specifically.

What I will do, however, is work on crossposting my Disco Elysium fanfic, A Toast to the Pigs, onto Wattpad instead. Currently I'm working on the cover for it, and crossposting it is something I've been wanting to do for a while. There aren't many fics on Disco Elysium as it is, which makes sense: Disco Elysium is a mature game with very strong and serious themes, which doesn't mesh well with a lot of the usual reader base of Wattpad. Unless there are more Disco Elysium fics on here that I just don't know about because I find the search engine here to be terrible and annoying.

I haven't updated A Toast to the Pigs in nearly a year, either, but I think it says something that a large part of my brain is still married to the idea of wanting to finish it so badly. With Until the Bitter End, I'll be honest--I was more or less meandering, with only the vague idea of certain scenes in my head and no predetermined route to get there. With Toast, it's essentially a retelling of the base game of Disco Elysium with a twist, and I've been so much more excited to work on it and filled with the desire to do so, even though my ADHD brain's been refusing to cooperate.

Once again, I apologize if you're here for Cookie Run. I wouldn't blame you for unfollowing. But it was a nice ride while I was a part of it, and I don't really have any regrets. If you want to read more of my old Cookie Run fanfiction, you can find a fair collection on my AO3 account, Wyrmroot: Most of them haven't been published here on Wattpad because I honestly couldn't be bothered with making the covers.

          	I appreciate you all. Adieu.

@Unregistered_Cookie If I may suggest, perhaps you could do a bit of a post-mortem? It seems unlikely this'll ever be picked up so... why not share your ideas as they would've been. Let people know what the rest of the story might have looked like, had things worked out better.

Of course, you don't have to do such a thing. I just want to know what your plan for this whole thing was, and I'm sure others want to know as well.

@Mrgriaffe I'm honestly so disappointed in Until the Bitter End because it has such a good premise but most of the stuff to fill in the space between was hollow and empty. A couple of interesting plot points, the crisis of what Affogato was supposed to do now, a weird mix of feelings--and then what? Maybe someday in the far-off future, I'll figure it out, but for the foreseeable future, I can't really think of much in particular. I think I'm mostly disappointed that I didn't even get very far in Until the Bitter End's story to begin with. That's probably the worst part. But it is what it is, and I enjoyed writing it while I did, people enjoyed reading it, and people still enjoy reading it, and I think all of that's what matters most in the end. Certainly not something I have any plans on deleting anytime soon.

Honestly that's fair. Sometimes, you start writing something only to realize you have no idea how to continue. Not to mention any IRL reasons that might crop up and such. I do think Until the Bitter End deserves a proper conclusion but I am aware that that's asking quite a lot so I won't press further. I wish you well in whatever comes after.

Finally settled down to transcribe from the notebook onto the document while editing/adding things and came up with somewhere around the ballpark of 1.1k words so far for Until the Bitter End.

Unrelated entirely to Cookie Run, but I've also gotten into Darkest Dungeon over the past month or two, and Jester/Sarmenti has been sleeping in my brain rent-free. I might see about writing a character study of him at some point in the future, though I don't know if I'll post it on Wattpad or not. Practically requiring covers really dissuades me from posting most of what I write on here.

Happy Thanksgiving, fellow United States Americans. Please take a moment to appreciate what it is you have and the people who love you.

Remember, also, the Native Americans who were harmed and displaced by us when we came to this continent from Europe. Take a moment to remember them--Thanksgiving is often projected as the time when the settlers and the Native Americans sat down to dine together. This is not true.

Celebrate Thanksgiving. Eat well. Give your thanks. Just remember, too, the foundation this country was built upon. Don't take it for granted.

Tomorrow is Native American Heritage Day. At the very least, keep them in mind.

I've published 'Keep It Brief', which is going to be a collection of ficlets and drabbles revolving around prompts and ideas from my perception of different characters.

The first chapter has been in my drafts for several weeks, waiting on a cover page to be drawn out for it: I meant to publish the next one in a few days, since I just finished it a bit ago and wanted to review it later. I haven't ever really used Wattpad on the phone before and accidentally published it instead. Oops.

Anyway, while I'm not taking requests for the ficlet collection, I am open to suggestions for prompts. Feel free to leave yours as a comment in the fic or as a comment right here! There's no guarantee that I'll do it, but I'm always open to inspiration.

Made a couple of minor changes to the intro of Chapter 4: Hippocratic Hypocrisy to fix several false pronouns and missed words. I accidentally referred to one of the bandits as he/him when I intended to keep their pronouns as they/them, at least for the time being.

If I am ever inconsistent with pronouns, please let me know so I can fix it asap.

I may also end up making it so that the introduction counts as a chapter because the fact that AO3 considers every individual part posted as chapters is honestly boggling my brain and keeps making me confused about which chapter I'm actually working on and which is which. It's simply to maintain consistency and make it easier for me.

@Unregistered_Cookie Writing is best hobby, isn't it?

In all seriousness, you're good. If it's an honest mistake, it's an honest mistake. Most people aren't gonna bat an eye if you miss something.

And yeah, AO3 is a very quirky site. It took a while to properly figure out how to tag my fics.
