I originally made a WattPad account because I came across a DxD YouTube video, I never came across fan fiction before so I always had that thought of “What if” you know?
But I saw that YouTube video and I saw that the story continues on Fanfiction.net, which I never heard of before, so I made a account and binge read a lot of DxD stories, than heard of WattPad, so I came to WattPad looking for DxD stories, but I stayed for Tensura and Cote fics
I still miss those days where I was excited to read chapters of stories and engage with authors, but know I felt like no good stories have been uploaded in the last 2 years, I read every major Tensura story with over 50 chapters, and every Cote story that goes into y2, since not many stories go into y2
Anyway, I feel like I’ve been on WattPad for a long time, and I can finally say that it’s not the same as it used to be
@Ur_Kenzy I joined Wattpad cuz of cote tbh since I also got a thought of a what if and that time I was shipping koji and honami and thought what'd happen so while searching for smth like that I stumbled upon Wattpad and the fic of gikara about koji in class-B and before that I had no idea fanfictions existed cuz' I only had knowledge of fan manga (I didn't even know LN existed that time and only thought it's just manga then after adaptation it's anime) And with cote as a starting point I've ended up reading other series fics too (mostly about crossovers) and 2022 kinda peaked, it was filled with peak stories followed by 2023 but then idk why Wattpad is now kinda dead Hope that era comes back again.
@Ur_Kenzy I remembered during the 2012 and 2013 period that you could take a random Wattpad stories and it was legit. Stories like cannibal bride and space hunter and some others not only were they interesting, they were free. After the needed coin system, it never felt the same. I understood the support for those authors but it was at that moment that moved me from original stories to fanfiction
