Okay, I just watched s7 ep15 of South Park and it's so funny-
But, I love when shows talk about Canada and point out what they got right at wrong.
First thing? Their layout of Canada makes no sense. I looked at the closest flight path I could from Colorado to Saskatchewan, which was, like the pilot said, 2 hours. But here's where it gets weird. That is from Denver to Estevan. If they had to turn left to go to Ottawa, they would've had to have landed in New Brunswick or Nova Scotia. A flight from Julesburg, the most northeastern airport in Colorado (that I could find) to Moncton (Ik it's far but that's all that it would show me for flight times)? Over ten hours. Could this be wrong? Yes. How long could the absolute shortest flight be? Over 3 and a half hours. Now, could they have walked from Saskatchewan to Newfoundland? NOT WITHOUT GOING THROUGH ONTARIO, WHERE OTTAWA IS! Also, New Brunswick is also French. It's officially bilingual, meaning they would've landed in French Canada.
Okay, now onto government. As much as I love having Saddam in the wall, just like Wizard of Oz, that's not how our government works. Our prime minister can't just make up laws whenever he wants. They have to go through Parliament then the Senate and can even (I' not 100% on how often this happens, but I know it can) go to be seen by the (now King) Monarch in England (he doesn't really have much say, he just kinda stamps it and says okay). Plus, Parliament has to do so much revising, it's not even funny. It can take forever to get laws passed and the prime minister doesn't actually have all that much power when it comes to it.
Finally- wait, I don't know if there was anything else... If they went by water, they could actually make it to Ottawa and besides French Canada looking a little too much like just France, this is actually great. Amazing representation and details when it comes to our diversity. Great job, you did your homework! I also love that they had Cirque du Soleil there lol
