Charvi, a 22-year-old who radiated beauty and confidence, commanded attention wherever she went. With her elegant demeanor and maturity beyond her years, she seemed untouchable to those who only saw the surface. Yet, beneath her poised exterior lay the remnants of a deeply scarred childhood. At six, she survived a motorbike accident that tragically claimed her father's life. Her mother, consumed by grief and anger, unfairly blamed the young Charvi. What followed were years of neglect and verbal abuse, leaving her to grow up in a household filled with resentment and bitterness.

As Charvi blossomed into a stunning young woman, her striking features drew admiration from all who saw her. Men of all ages vied for her attention, but she remained indifferent, offering only a polite smile while secretly relishing the validation. At home, however, her beauty became a source of tension. Her mother, watching her own youth fade, grew increasingly jealous. Their house turned into a war zone of sharp words and insults, with Charvi left emotionally defeated time and again.

Earning a scholarship far from home gave Charvi the escape she desperately needed. In her new life, she sought solace in books and joined a reading club, where she met Aalok, a writer in his late 40s. Aalok carried his own burdens-grieving a child he had lost to drowning and enduring the collapse of his marriage. Despite their age difference, the two recognized the pain in each other's eyes and found comfort in their shared grief. Their connection deepened, transforming into a passionate romance that offered them both the solace they had been seeking for years.

For the first time, Charvi began to believe she could leave her past behind and embrace happiness. But fate, cruel as ever, had other plans for her......

Dear Ursha,

I just finished reading The Draped Assassin and I must say, I truly loved it. Ranjana Banerjee, or Rani, or Uma Gupta, felt so vivid and alive that the story stayed with me long after I finished. You have an incredible gift for bringing characters to life and weaving suspense with emotion.

I learned that this was your first story, which makes it even more special for me. I am preparing myself for your next one, already eager to see where your imagination takes us. At the same time, I could not help but wonder why you stopped after writing only these two stories. Your storytelling deserves to continue, and readers like me would love to see more of your work in the future.

I deeply appreciate what you have created, and I hope you continue writing. I would also be delighted to be your friend, as I believe writers and readers share a unique bond built on words, imagination, and trust.

          With admiration,
          Sayem (Kaspar Moon)

@UrshaMitra It is completely understandable. Life often asks us to compromise our dreams for the sake of practical responsibilities, and I have faced the same in my own journey. What matters is that you still hold on to your passion for writing and continue nurturing it whenever you can.

I am truly glad to know you are working on new stories and experimenting with a different style. That shows growth and dedication, even when the pace feels slow. Please do not be too hard on yourself. Your writing already has a special touch, and I am certain your upcoming work will reflect even more maturity and depth.

I will be looking forward to your next story, and I hope you keep finding the balance between your responsibilities and your creative dreams.

@kasparmoon Hi Sayem, thank you for leaving such a sweet message. Honestly it means a lot. I wrote this story right after I graduated high school and got into college. It took me almost two years to end because I'm extremely inconsistent, that's my fault. The second one I started a few days before my graduation. Then things happened around me, and I stopped continuing it. I'm working right now, not in the field that I love (writing) I'm working on new stories with a different style. Soon I'll publish a new story.
