          The big ball of yellow light had returned, its glow spilling through the strange square opening in the wall. The light touched everything inside the box—the walls, the floor, even me—painting the air in gold. I squinted, unsure if this was some kind of magic. It was warm, though, and alive. Maybe this was how the land woke each day.
          
          I watched Arius as he sat up, stretching whilst marmalade circled his feet. "What is she?" I asked as I mimicked his movement once again - sitting on the soft surface. He raised an eyebrow "You are telling me you've never seen cat before?"
