Reading to me is a form of entertainment, the equivalent of watching Netflix or going to the cinema. Which is why when I choose a book to read, it just has to entertain me in some way. I would prefer to read light-hearted, quirky novels, but I more often than not pick up heavier, more serious reads as well. As long as the book fascinates me in some way - be it through its plot, style of writing, or concept - I'll read it, and most likely enjoy it.
