I am a professional writer and storyteller. I grew up in and around London, but now live in the wild hills of Wales, with three dogs, four hens and a whole load of sheep. 

Useless facts about me are: I love chocolate, I talk to myself when I'm in the bathroom, and when I get excited about doing something there is nothing that can stop me.

I always tell people that my first books were published by Puffin (Penguin Books) and were for children aged 8 to 12. It's not quite true, because a few years before them I had a book about making teddy bears published. I still have some of the bears lazing around the house.

I have now moved into fantasy and young adult novels. It makes sense, because my favourite ages for storytelling gigs are teenagers and adults.
