Her voice shook as she asked again, "Aksh... please, what's happening? Why am I here?" 
          
          Rudraksh stood still, his expression unreadable. But in his eyes there was something different in them. Something colder than the warmth she was used to. He couldn't let sympathy cloud his judgment. Not now. Not when his duty came first. 
          
          "You're confused," he said his voice firm,which felt unfamiliar. "You're going to take a lie detector test. It's part of the process. We need to know what you remember... and what you don't." 
          
          Drishti stared at her husband her heart sinking. A lie detector test? She had no idea what he was talking about. 
          
          "I don't understand" she whispered shaking her head as fear tightened in her chest.

          Sorry to barge into your message.
          I'm just a toddler here(I mean amongst the other writers I'm just born yesterday..hehehe)
          This is the first ever book I'm writing-"His Hostage Wife".This slow burn story revolves around the life of two completely different individuals but fate tied them together. Both had their own reasons to get into this forced relationship,one was kept as hostage and blackmailed  and the other one did it willingly but still there's a big mystery.
          Come let's explore the journey together and get to know that how one became hostage wife but will also become as important as oxygen to him.
          
          
          The 1st chapter would be edited, do read the next chapters. I've tried to improve my writing in the further chapters.
