@Ven0mized   I had a thought... maybe it's just me and I am thinking too much of it or looking too much into it, but is it possible that Velvet Nights is a prequel of sorts to Burnout Hearts? I think I am seeing a few connections if that is the case, but I am not sure.

@Skier3star I do recommend AO3 if you get booted off of Wattpad and you still want to continue writing. A lot of authors have started cross posting on both just in case.

@Skier3star especially because the EU law that was one of the reasons for the purge in 2024 is getting ramped up more this year in 2026. And that might mean Wattpad might crackdown even more than in 2024.

@Ven0mized oh quick heads, and I don’t know if this has happened to you or not, but Wattpad can sometimes delete your stuff even if it’s not publicly visible, such as unpublished stories, drafts, etc. because it can see that stuff. So I do recommend backing up everything you have, regardless of what it is, on something like Microsoft Word, Google Docs, etc. and write off of the platform because if Wattpad deletes it, you might not be able to ever get it back especially since their writing system is very unreliable.

Nice to see you're still kicking, man. Got a little worried you had stopped writing for good. Too many authors do that now. They don't port their works to AO3 or they just delete or unpublish them without warning. And many just don't ever return after they say the next chapter will be published. A lot of stories get lost over time because of that. Not to mention the ranking system doesn't help. 900 stories only shown in the search bar publicly with the kda tag but 971 stories with that tag are supposedly ranked? And this is the case with other tags as well. It's annoying. I don't get how that works at all. It lists the total number of stories in the tag rankings but the total number publicly shown in the search is less than the rankings. A bunch of Authors are dual posting or just leaving to AO3 or Royal Road entirely because of Wattpad being crappy and getting worse and worse.

Got a question, the original chapter 1 of Burnout Hearts, the bio/intro chapter,  it seemed to not match what the story has been so far, was that chapter for a different story?

@Ven0mized Or if Velvet Nights is a completely new concept that is not in any way related to Burnout Hearts, do you plan on publishing both the new reworked version of Burnout Hearts and the original version when the reworked version is up?

@Ven0mized I saw you posted the new KDA story. I am guessing this is the reworked version of Burnout Hearts. Or is it a completely different story than Burnout Hearts and this was another separate idea you had? If it is the reworked version, do you plan on republishing the original version for people to read?

@Ven0mized Okay, no problem. I was a little worried I may have made you a little mad initially when I made my first comment in Burned out about me being confused about the summary and me being kind of completely lost later a few comments later.
