I've decided to take AMFH/AMSH down in light of Wattpad being acquired by Naver, a South Korean-run company. I've had a bad experience with WebNovel which is a China-owned company. After publishing the first 15 chapters of my story there they were "mirrored" onto other china owned websites where I had no control over them nor any way to contact and remove them. WebNovel only went so far as to link me to Google's DCMA reporting page which, 6 months later, has resulted in no action getting my work taken down.

Just something to keep in mind when a platform belongs to a different country (basically) the laws that may have protected your works and writing (on US-owned websites) may not exist in those countries so you may become more exposed to this sort of behavior. Wattpad has already had experience with mirror websites in the past. As far as I remember they worked tirelessly to get them taken down, though a different variation of the website would usually appear again. This only furthers my concern as to the safety of my work and how such theft might jeopardize my attempts to publish it later.

I changed the title of the story after publishing there while rewriting Book 1. I will keep an eye on Wattpad's "progress" but lately I've seen little of this website to recommend it to other writers who don't write "Romance Heavy-Teen" content.
