Tomorrow the final chapter of the rough draft of The Whirlpool and the Sunflower (W&S) will be posted at 9PM EST. That brings with it some announcements!
          
          ✦  W&S will be going through the beta reading process from May 6th, 2026 until June 9th, 2026. If you are interested in beta reading for this book, please email me at vera.fenwick.books@gmail.com to express your interest and I will send you all the beta reading information.
          
          ✦ Once beta reading is complete (June 9th), I will revise the book and then start with the editing process. I want to work towards a polished product that I can publish and hope that will happen before the end of the year. That may be optimistic, but I will post updates about the process here!
          
          ✦ W&S is planned to be the first book in a series, but there will be some time before I start posting any content from the second book. W&S needs to be beta read, edited, and prepped for publishing before I really want to start getting into writing book 2 too heavily. However, I do plan to use Wattpad as a place to post future rough drafts of this series as well, so they WILL end up here!
          
          ✦ In the mean time, I will be continuing to post chapters from my ONC 2026 project, 50 Years Too Late and I hope this will keep you satiated!

So you’ve just been hiding this the whole time?

This is it! The final chapter of The Whirlpool and the Sunflower will be posted Thursday, 3/19/2026 at 9PM EST!
          
          This is the end to my first ever complete book!!!! How exciting.
          
          All of you and Wattpad have helped me do what i hoped you would: fully finish the rough draft of a book.
          
          Stay tuned for some announcements about future steps with the book and other works to come!

The second to last chapter of The Whirlpool and the Sunflower will be published tomorrow, 3/17/2026 at 9PM EST! I'm so excited!!
          
          It's so funny to me that this story will be finished before my "actual" book that I'm writing to publish.... crazy how things happen like that. I've found an unexpected affection for this story and I hope you all are enjoying it :)

Surprise! My book Dark Night has a new cover and a new name! The book is now called The Whirlpool and the Sunflower.
          
          This change is for a few reasons:
          
          First, the book will be complete soon! Huzzah, its almost time! So, I wanted to change my working title (Dark Night) to something that fit the actual plot better.
          
          Second, this story will likely be a trilogy and perhaps extend beyond that, so I have also added the series name (The Terran Restoration) into the title and cover.
          
          Hopefully this clears up any confusion you may have had about what happened to Dark Night! I don't want anyone worrying that Ive gone and removed the story.
          
          For those of you reading the story as chapters are released or waiting for completion to start reading, there will likely only be ~23 chapters in the book. So, with our current release schedule, that means i will likely be posting the final chapter next Thursday 3/19/2026! Of course, if i have a delay or something that may change, but regardless the story will be completed very soon!
