"I write to tell a tale I want to read." --Someone very wise
Hello, Reader! I see you've found my profile, you poor soul. I do hope you are prepared to deal with the sheer amount of crazy that is my mind. It isn't too late to turn back...
You're still here? Brave adventurer! Well then, down to business!
There are three things in this world that I value most: a beautiful song, a memorable story, and a well told joke.
I am legitimately addicted to music- that's not even a joke. It's almost unhealthy, I think. I listen to it 24/7. I don't have a favorite genre; I'm just as happy listening to Thomas Bergersen, Enya and Hayley Wentenra as I am Nightwish, Within Temptation and Blackmore's Night or Imagine Dragons and Fall Out Boy. If you don't know who some of these people are, look them up; treat yourself, become a better person! They're all incredible.
My top 5 favorite authors, if I were forced to choose, would be C.S.Lewis, Stephen R. Lawhead, J.K. Rowling, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Agatha Christie. And, of course, my brother author Shakespeare. No one can beat the Bard.
As for my own book, there are things inside these 'pages' that I am proud of... and some that I am not. First drafts aren't always beautiful, that's what a rewrite is for. So, why is it here? Because unless I believe there is someone out there that wants to read it- aside from myself- I tend to burn out.
The only other thing you need to know about me is that I am lazy. Incredibly, absurdly lazy. There are times that I wonder if I'm capable of finishing anything. Honestly, when I go for long stretches without writing, it's probably because I'm spending all my time reading the many wonderful works that already exist out there! (Come on, it's enough to distract anyone, right?)
SO! Read and enjoy, my friend. Feel free to drop me a line at any time, and I hope to see you at Finis!
Blessings,
Veronica Michaels
