My final analysis is that had I not read the prequel, the story would have been better. Maybe even quite good.
It certainly would have been less confusing.
The prequel introduces information that happened before the story started And through the current timeline of this tale. And yet that information destroys the continuity and flow of this story.
To put it bluntly: Take. The. Prequel. Down!

Thinking on how much information is in the prequel, you could easily make a separate story line from it, just leave Hermione out of it and you have the basis for a background novelette from an OC perspective.
In that separate story, Harry could receive the history imparted via her possession in his future... Perhaps even when the OC introduces Harry to her daughter, since he was the inheritor of the Black estate.

Any other problems that I have with the story will either be deleted or left up if they apply directly to the individual scenes.
I will end this train of thought by stating that I believe that you have done Moony a great disservice in causing such enormous harm to his lover and brother, but that's a choice that you have made and other readers have not been as upset by it as I have been.

“Yer a wizard, Harry...”

Happy Birthday to “the Boy Who Lived!”

The worldwide phenomenon that is Harry Potter has brought me so many friends, a lot of tears and a lot of smiles over the years.

What about YOU? What’s Harry done for you?
