How is everyone doing?

Shared Genres
          
          I think about all the pain and sorrow,
          About the love and hope for tomorrow.
          This world we live in, we share the same strife,
          Every one of us navigating through life.
          
          We each have our stories, our chapters, our ends,
          But we all share the genres that life sends.
          We may not speak the same words or live the same ways,
          But our histories intertwine in countless ways.
          
          I think of a son who receives his father's heart,
          A mother's sacrifice before they even start.
          Children who sit alone because they're different,
          In a world so cruel, let's be the benevolent.
          
          The little boy listens to his grandma’s tale,
          Of a grandpa who’s no longer there to hail.
          A mother and father hold their newborn tight,
          While another parent faces a heart-wrenching night.
          
          We take so much and seldom give,
          Yet it's through kindness that we truly live.
          Our beginnings and endings may differ, it's true,
          But it's how we love others that defines what we do.
          
          We all share the same genre in life’s grand scheme,
          And through our compassion, our souls find peace and gleam.
