I am thoroughly enjoying it. I am a Highlander and part of my family comes from the Hebrides.
            
            I really like the MC - she’s feisty, but we can understand why she might be a little unsure about things, or not have total confidence in herself. I grinned when she poured a drink over that ghastly woman’s head! I look forward to seeing what she will do on the island.
            
            I enjoyed Van’s staff member. Poor man! And no wonder his assistant quit too!
            
            You also make the male MC intriguing. Cold, yes, but good at running things so others prosper and is not afraid to work alongside them. He’s in for a shock when she arrives!
            
            One tiny suggestion - perhaps do a sweep of your sentences to pick up changes in tense. You jump between past and present tense, sometimes in the same sentence. 
            
            It’s a privilege to read your work.
