I was exposed to the music of David Byrne at a young age and I like to think that explains a lot, except why I love the Oxford comma. There's no intellectualizing that.

I write for two simple reasons: I have to get these stories out of my head and I want to give people a chance to know the characters I have created as well and as fondly as I do. Even though I seem to enjoy putting them in uncomfortable situations I love every one of my characters. Even when they don't do what they're supposed to. 

Especially when they don't do what they're supposed to.
